A fascinating look at the world of the Amish people through the eyes of a young Amish girl growing into adulthood.  Through Ellie's experiences, including a runaway buggy ride, her baptism Sunday, a death in her family and her own special wedding day, readers get a real-life picture of the Amish lifestyle.

"This book is a charming tale about the life of a girl growing up in a strict Amish home. Ellie concludes the rigors of simple Amish life are worth all the difficulties, and she chooses to remain Amish when she is grow"
-
Harriette Richards, Retired Teacher, Port Orchard, Washington, in Christian Library Journal, October 1995
