Freedom FencesHow to set limits that free you to enjoy your marriage and family by Gerald W. Kaufman, L. Marlene Kaufman, Anne Kaufman Weaver, Nina Kaufman Harnish |

"In a world where license has replaced freedom, this book on contained living shows the way to balanced lifestyles and healthy relationships. Mishandled freedom, the authors point out, always has consequences. When choice becomes overchoice, family guideposts are increasingly needed. In that sense, Freedom Fences will guide us all the way home."
--Richard A. Swenson, MD, author of Margin: Restoring Emotional, Physical, Financial, and Time Reserves to Overloaded Lives
At times our world seems to be spinning out of control. Marriages are disintegrating. Many children need medication to help them through the school day. A growing number of adults and youth are searching for something that is missing in their lives. Our situation relates to the removal of boundaries in contemporary society. Saying "no" has become out of step with a world that worships the concept of the indiscriminate "yes." Authority figures have been replaced, and we are in search of our own "space" and self-esteem. We do not want to be inconvenienced by restrictions.Freedom and wholeness come when we choose to live within boundaries. We seek compassionate limits drawn by the civil society and the church. We need boundaries that connect to our covenant with God. These help us in our relationships with each other and speak to our long-term good."The Kaufmans offer sound, practical advise that offers hope for the future of the family. I highly recommend this book for all who care about the future of marriage and the family in the Christian community."
