"Dont know what a Kobzar is? Youll dance with one by the time you finish this colorful narrative. Wit, candor, and scholarly insight converge in this inspiring story of Mennonites engaging the world with the best of their own tradition." --J. Nelson Kraybill, President, Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary
Dancing with the Kobzar tells two stories. First is the account of Bluffton Colleges birth, growth, and development framed in a social history of BC student life over the past century. A photo essay illustrates this tale. Second is the narrative of Bluffton Colleges unique role in Mennonite higher education, that of a Mennonite school that speaks to students from a wide variety of religious backgrounds and commitments. Extensive notes plus bibliography and index support the authors effort delicately to balance critical assessment and affirmation of the Bluffton legacy of progressive Anabaptism.
