Let All Who ThirstHymns for Piano performed by Lucia Unrau |
![]() |
Let All Who Thirst grew out of the joy Unrau and Terry have experienced in sharing hymns with their family, friends, and church community. The title track, their first hymn adaptation, was written for the funeral of a mutual friend some years ago, and expressed in music "what is inexpressible in the language of speech," according to the two artists.
Let All Who Thirst continues the tradition of the Hymnal Masterworks Series, highlighting the importance of the hymn as a means of religious expression in Anabaptist denominations. All hymns featured on the recordings are taken from Hymnal: A Worship Book.
The fourteen hymns performed here are for use in times of celebration and in times of need and sadness. Includes "O Let All Who Thirst," "What Wondrous Love Is This," "O Healing River," "My Hope Is Built on Nothing Less," "As the Hart with Eager Yearning," "Abide with Me," "Be Thou My Vision," "Let the Whole Creation Cry," "How Firm a Foundation," "Amazing Grace!" "All Hail the Power of Jesus' Name," "I Am the Bread of Life," and "Will You Let Me Be Your Servant."
"The power is in the hymns and their ability to comfort and inspire us. We hope that through this recording they will now bring peace and grace to others."Peter Terry
