The contributors to this volume - all affected by the Kreiders' ministry - are a global, multi-voiced choir. They are younger and older, academics and community workers, new believers and veterans of the faith. They have come together to celebrate the life-long contribution the Kreiders have made to forming in so many people the Christian habits necessary for living faithfully in an unraveling Post-Christendom world.

Youth work isn't for the faint-hearted-it's tender and tough, requiring savvy to withstand the assault of erotic, self-centered, consume-at-any-cost allurements facing youth today. Here is wisdom and encouragement from those who have dedicated themselves to Jesus-centered youth faith formation that encompasses biblical and Anabaptist-Mennonite ways of knowing, being, and doing, all while following the One who offers abundant life. The writers explore the context in which such formation happens best - the congregation that worships, serves, witnesses, and fellowships together.

*The End of Sacrifice

Edited by John Nugent

In this collection of writings, Yoder argues that death penalty advocates should no longer claim biblical validation for capital punishment and Christians should proclaim its abolition, since the death of Jesus brought a decisive end to all sacrifices for sin. In doing so, he also makes a persuasive case for proactive Christian witness to the state. He calls the church to proclaim the end of sacrifice to public officials who are responsible to administer capital punishment.

In the last half-century, a growing number of North Americans have been smitten with an Anabaptist-Mennonite vision of church and mission. Often coming from outside the Mennonite mainstream, they've formed communities with others of like mind and sought to live out their radical faith. But in the process, they often bump up against the institutional church that has housed the radical vision for generations. The stories and reflections offered in Widening the Circle explore that creative tension. The result is a rich showcase of Jesus-centered discipleship-windows into what the future church can look like.

Go To Church, Change the World

By Gerald J. Mast.
$13.99 USD/$16.00 CAD
View this title in our webstore.

In a time when many are questioning the relevance of the church to their spiritual journeys, this book makes a bold case that "going to church" is intrinsic to Christian faith. Drawing on Anabaptist life and conviction, Mast presents Christ's call to all believers to be the church, whether gathered for worship or scattered for service.

By exploring such practices as baptism, communion, singing, and group discernment, he asks us to consider how participation in the life of the church shapes our daily witness-how "going to church" transforms "going to work" in the world that God loves.

Today, God's way still looks upside-down as it breaks into diverse cultures around the world and calls a new generation to radical discipleship.

Forgiveness

By John L. Ruth
$13.99 USD/$16.00 CAD

Fifth anniversary edition features new afterword by author and a beautiful cover.

This sensitive and thoughtful meditation reflects on the response of the Amish community of Nickel Mines, Pennsylvania, where in 2006 a gunman killed five school children, wounded five others, then killed himself. Even many Christians were stunned when the Amish community, in the midst of its grieving, offered words of forgiveness toward the dead killer and his family. Ruth considers that extraordinary forgiveness as the legacy of that heartbreaking day.
