Have you considered joining the Herald Press Ministers Book Club lately? If you haven’t, now is the time to do so. We have expanded our membership to include church librarians.
The Purpose of the Club:
Herald Press wants to be your source for Anabaptist/Mennonite books. In order to do this, we will be offering from time to time resources from Faith & Life Resources and books from Cascadia Publishing House, Evangel Publishing House, Institute of Mennonite Studies, Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society, Mennonite Mission Network, Mennonite Mutual Aid, and SmallTall Music that are copublished and/or distributed by Herald Press, along with our new products. These books are offered to you at a special Ministers Book Club price. You can purchase multiple copies of these products when they offered to you at a special Ministers Book Club Price. (Only one copy of each book from Faith & Life Resources will be available when offered.)
Who Can Become A Member?
Now open to church librarians. The Ministers Book Club is open to ministers (ordained or licensed), seminary students, church libraries, and foreign missionaries regardless of denominational affiliation. Laypeople are not eligible for membership.
How Does The Club Work?
We are a positive option club. About once every six weeks, you will receive a letter with flyers describing several new books. You can also find this listing on the Herald Press Minister's Book Club Offerings web site.
If you want any or all of the books offered, simply return the enclosed self-addressed postcard, call toll free 1 800 245-7894, or email hp@mph.org. Your order will be processed and sent directly to you. If you do not want the books, there is nothing you need to do. There are no obligations or risks to you. No set number of books to purchase. No hassle returns.
What If I Live Outside The U.S. And Canada?
We welcome members living in other countries. For our Canadian members, we are billing and shipping direct from our Herald Press Canada office. All of our resources have a Canadian Club Price to make it more convenient for you.
Because of the uncertainty of mail service, however, we realize that you may not be able to return your card by the due date. We normally wait approximately six weeks to receive your reply card indicating that you want to order specific books. You are welcome to fax or e-mail your selections to us as well.
Backlist Titles:
Each time a new title or sequel is added to a set or series, you can make a note on your return postcard to receive the earlier title(s) in the series at the special club price. In addition, each month we offer specilas on titles which have proven significant and valuable in church ministry. This allows you to take advantage of classic resources that you might have missed the first time around.
How Do I Become a Member?
All you need to do to join and start taking advantage of being a member is call 1 800 245-7894. We can take the information over the phone and sign you up immediately. If you are interested in hearing about the resources being offered this month, just ask. We will be happy to tell you about them! Or, simply go to the MBC Ordering page and sign up
Suppose I Want to Quit?
Again, write, call, fax, or e-mail to us and request that your name be removed. Your name will be removed with the next club announcement. Since announcements are sent out six weeks in advance, your responses to each month will be completed up to the time of your request.
