Herald Press is happy to provide exam and desk copies for professors considering using our books for your courses. To submit a request, complete our request form below or call 1 (800) 245-7894.
Desk Copies
If you already know you will be using one or more Herald Press books in your course, complete the request form below with all the necessary information. A complimentary desk copy of the book will be mailed to you.
Examination Copies
Our process for exam copies is as follows:
- On the request form below, place your order for the Herald Press book(s) you want to examine.
- The book(s) you request will be sent on an approval basis, billed at the retail price less your professional discount of 20%.
- After 60 days you will have three alternatives:
If you decide to use the Herald Press book(s) as a textbook, you should return the duplicate copy of the invoice with the following information:
- the name of the bookstore where the books will be purchased,
- the name of your college or university,
- the department or course in which the book(s) will be used.
Upon receipt of this information, the charge will be cancelled and the book(s) will become a complimentary desk copy.
- If you want to keep the book(s), but not use it as a textbook, please pay the invoice as billed.
- If you do not want the book(s), return the book(s) with the duplicate copy of your invoice and the charge will be cancelled.
Terms: 60 days net. Pay by invoice. A 1% finance charge per month will be added after 60 days (12% per annum).
Shipping Charges: Parcel post, freight, express, United Parcel Service, FedEx Ground, or CanPar charges will be added on all items. All merchandise will be shipped UPS unless otherwise specified. All shipments FOB Scottdale or Waterloo. All items will be insured up to $100 at no additional cost; customers requesting full insurance will be charged actual cost.
